Our client, an international company in the manufacturing industry, needs to strengthen its Procurement Operations team with an experienced Category Lead. The role includes responsibility for purchasing direct materials related to production and ensuring a stable and sustainable supply chain globally and locally. You will work in an international matrix organization with many stakeholders and play a central role in supporting production flows and contributing to successful market launches.

Responsibilities As a Category Lead, you will:

• Drive and develop purchasing categories for direct materials.
• Build and maintain a robust supplier base and ensure supply chain stability.
• Negotiate and develop business relationships with global suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with global and regional Procurement teams as well as other key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the further development of future processes and working methods within the organization while managing daily needs.

Requirements (must-haves)

• Academic degree.
• At least three years of purchasing experience, preferably with a focus on direct materials.
• Experience working in a complex matrix organization.
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable experiences

• Previous work with global supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills in international contexts.
• Experience from the manufacturing industry.

Start date and application:

Start: November 1, 2025, or by agreement

End: October 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months

Scope: Full-time, 39 hours/week

Location: Gothenburg. First month on-site 100%, then the possibility of remote work up to two days per week.
