In the local healthcare area of Skellefteå, the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö are included. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the hospital's largest clinics with approximately 300 employees. The clinic's care places are distributed according to medical and geriatric specializations. The majority of admissions are acute and occur via the emergency department. The outpatient care consists of medicine, geriatrics, and dialysis clinics. Within the medical clinic, there are also day care services and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also has a research unit, which is unique for a county division hospital.

We are now looking for assistant nurses for the medical and geriatric clinic, ward 3, with a focus on stroke and gastroenterology. In the wards, we work in a working time model that promotes the opportunity for recovery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as an assistant nurse, you are an important part of the teamwork alongside other professional categories. The work offers great variety in terms of content and pace. As an assistant nurse, you are responsible for basic care and monitoring of basic parameters. You work closely with nurses and doctors in a team. Together, we provide the best care where the patient is at the center.

The position includes mixed shifts, which means work during the day, evening, weekend, and night. The working hours can be adjusted according to the applicant's wishes. QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for assistant nurses who have successfully completed the care and nursing program or equivalent education. You have taken the specialization course in emergency care and have an interest in internal medicine and geriatrics. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a medical department and/or geriatric department or other acute operations.

As a person, you are innovative, action-oriented, and responsible, with a forward-driving attitude. In our wards, there is a high patient flow where a larger proportion of patients are admitted acutely, which requires you to be structured and efficient with the ability to lead and reprioritize work alongside your colleagues and to switch work pace when needed.
