Are you the one we are looking for?

For the winter season 2025-2026, we are looking for someone who wants to work creatively outdoors in one of the most beautiful areas of the mountain world, with the mountains right outside the door! We are now seeking an initiative-taking guide to join our small team during the northern lights season and into spring. From mid-November, we will have a few tours a week primarily focusing on snowshoeing and ski touring guiding, and as spring approaches and the ski system opens, the position will transition into more shop work in our sports shop with the opportunity to lead occasional guided tours, especially on ski touring and snowshoes. The role also includes work in our sports information and, if necessary, with events, competitions, and other types of guided activities and tasks within the sports department.

You will primarily be based at our facility in Björkliden, but it may also be necessary to work between our facilities as needed.

Your tasks

As a guide in Björkliden, you will among other things:

• Lead guided tours primarily on ski touring and snowshoes
• On request, hold other types of guided arrangements, e.g., for conference groups
• Be involved in developing and executing activities, events, and competitions organized by the sports department
• Work in sports information with service and bookings
• Contribute to the sports department's other work where needed

Your profile

• Mountain Leader Council's mountain leader norm, or equivalent
• You have a wilderness-focused first aid training, equivalent to at least Wilderness Advanced First Aid
• Driving license for manual transmission
• You are confident in ski touring and snowshoeing, as well as giving instructions in these disciplines
• You have a strong safety mindset and take great responsibility for your tasks
• You are humble, flexible, and accommodating, and enjoy working in a team where we actively support and develop each other
• You are initiative-taking and are happy to contribute to events, competitions, and other activities within the sports department
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• You have experience leading children's groups in outdoor contexts
• You have a snowmobile driving license
• You have knowledge of other languages besides Swedish and English
• You have previous experience in the Björkliden and Riksgränsen area
• You are a trained ski instructor
