Key Responsibilities of the Breakfast Kitchen Team Leader:

  • Supports the smooth running of the Breakfast Kitchen, where all aspects of the guest experience throughout the whole Hotel are delivered to the highest level.
  • Oversee the Kitchen Breakfast shift, including a full buffet breakfast.
  • Order, prepare and present food according to Brand Standard guidelines.
  • Supervises and schedules the breakfast kitchen team fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department.
  • Accountable for ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.
  • Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and aim for minimal wastage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas in accordance with Health & Safety and HACCP standards.
  • The position is 20% admin and 80% operational.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in kitchen.
  • Strong supervisory skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
  • Experience with staff scheduling.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities offering support where required.
  • Commitment to hygiene, safety standards, and food handling regulations.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
