Your New Role

Are you an experienced buyer with strong strategic thinking and a passion for developing supplier relationships? We are now looking for a strategic buyer who wants to take on a key role in a project with a leading player in the defense industry in Linköping.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving and managing a selection of suppliers and their contracts.
• Supporting projects and programs with commercial responsibility.
• Analyzing and evaluating the supplier portfolio to ensure competitiveness.
• Preparing requests for proposals, comparing offers, negotiating, and placing purchase orders.
• Leading cross-functional teams focused on improvements and efficiencies.
• Ensuring compliance with purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures.

In this role, you will be an important part of the organization's purchasing function, contributing to creating long-term value and competitiveness. The assignment encompasses a broad responsibility within supplier strategies, negotiations, and business development.

The role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, and travel within Sweden for supplier evaluations is required.

To be successful in this role, you need to

• At least 3–7 years of experience in strategic purchasing.
• Documented experience in negotiation and supplier development.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, purchasing systems, and Excel.
• Desirable: Work experience in the production/manufacturing industry.
