Job Responsibilities

As a transport service investigator, you will handle applications for transport services and national transport services in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. The work involves independently investigating cases, assessing, and making decisions according to the Transport Services Act, National Transport Services Act, and guidelines for transport services and national transport services in Malmö City. For your investigation, you will have contact with customers via phone and digital means.

The work primarily involves investigating the customer's difficulties in moving and traveling using public transportation. You will also review medical statements submitted in the case. As a transport service investigator, you may represent Malmö City legally in transport service cases if necessary. You will also back up our assistants as needed, for example, by having customer contact via phone/digital and receiving and registering applications.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has

A relevant university degree, for example, in law, behavioral science, or social work/other equivalent education.
Experience in case handling or investigative work, for example, from social services, care administration, healthcare, or equivalent.
Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, and good knowledge of English in spoken form.

It is an advantage if you also have

Experience working with the elderly and people with disabilities
Experience in public authority operations
Familiarity with Pro Capita and Lifecare general investigation
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Interest in or experience with system responsibility

To succeed as a transport service investigator, you need to be empathetic and objective. To thrive and function well in the role, you need to be communicative and have the ability to inform and convey decisions clearly, correctly, and smoothly in both written and spoken forms. We prefer that you are a humble team player with a flexible approach in the workgroup, as well as being self-driven with problem-solving analytical skills. You are structured, meticulous, and responsible.
