Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a road worker for Basunderhåll Uddevalla. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a specialist in roads - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your mission as a road worker

In the role of a road worker, your main task is to inspect the road network in the area and report any deficiencies and then address them. We work with operational and maintenance-related tasks, ground maintenance, and winter road management. Together, you and your colleagues ensure that quality and safety are always the highest priority.

The position includes summer and winter preparedness with the responsibility to call out salt trucks and plowing units. During preparedness, you as a professional will take a leading role and manage the work and communication with Svevia's subcontractors. In this position, you will be supported by close management and engaged colleagues.

You will be based at our establishment in Uddevalla. The position is full-time, and working hours are typically scheduled between 07:00 and 16:00. The work is physical and takes place outdoors. Start immediately or as agreed. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, we see it as a requirement that you have:

  • The ability to work during standby periods, both in winter and summer.
  • An interest in digital working methods and processes
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

If you have previously worked with operations and maintenance work, and have APV training, we consider it a merit.

In this recruitment, we also place great importance on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who has the ability to adapt to different situations and enjoys varied workdays. You are a confident person driven by challenges and motivated by achieving set goals. Furthermore, you are self-sufficient and solution-oriented, taking personal responsibility and readily providing your own initiatives. Important for the role is also being a team player who can work effectively. The foundation for succeeding in this position is that in addition to your competence, you have a helpful and service-oriented profile and want to have fun at work!

Part of something bigger

Svevia is today Sweden's largest operational contractor. In operations and maintenance, we manage, among other things, summer and winter road management for half of the state road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.

With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family with children heading to the mountains. We ensure that the business's goods transport reaches its destination and make sure that streets, squares, and parks are clean and tidy. Additionally, we protect lives on the road through our offering of traffic arrangements.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own work environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in your specific area or move on to a leadership position. Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
