About the position

Our surgical department is a modern and high-tech unit with five operating rooms. Here, primarily heart and lung surgeries are performed, such as coronary artery surgeries, valve surgeries, lung cancer surgeries, and other thoracic procedures. The department conducts and develops both elective and emergency thoracic surgery. We also have two rooms where we conduct external activities in the angiography department.

The care leader assignment involves operationally leading and planning the department's care logistics in daily operations, within given frameworks and according to the department's set goals. More concretely, this includes:

• assessing current staffing needs in relation to care load and distributing staff
• actively participating to ensure processes and flows align with the department's goals and visions
• in consultation with the medically responsible anesthesiologist coordinating patient flow
• ensuring that applicable routines are followed and that new ones are implemented
• promoting patient-safe care of good quality
• assisting the nursing manager in improvement work
• participating in the introduction of new employees.

The advertisement refers to a permanent full-time position with a basic role as an anesthesia or surgical nurse with an appointment as a care leader. The care leader assignment will constitute about 30% of your time. During care leader shifts, you will work daytime, 7-4. The rest of the time, you will work clinically within your profession under the framework of Region Stockholm's 24/7 agreement. Qualifications

Requirements:

• specialist nurse in surgery or anesthesia
• several years of clinical experience in your specialty
