Job Responsibilities

As a Project Designer in Norrbotten/Västerbotten based in Luleå, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and driving several fiber projects forward – both new establishments and relocations as well as various service assignments. You will have overall responsibility for your projects, including financial follow-up, reporting, and ensuring that the quality meets the goals set together with the customer. A large part of the work is done from the office, but you will also be out in the field on your various projects.

In the role of Project Designer, your daily work will be characterized by various contact points and responsibilities, such as:

• Designing new utility corridors and relocating utility corridors
• Responsible for your client's (utility owner) part during the production phase of various construction and development projects
• Preparing work documents and reviewing these with relevant technicians and subcontractors
• Responsible for budget, timelines, resource plans, reporting, and final documentation

Furthermore, you take clear ownership of your tasks and deliver quality on time. Finally, you need to have a good ability to work in a structured manner and be comfortable with varying workdays, rapid changes, and handling administrative tasks that are a natural part of the role.

You have good social skills, enjoy working independently, but also value a strong team and sharing your knowledge. It is also an advantage if you have previously held a leadership role in the field.

We believe you have or can possess several or some of the following qualities and skills:

• At least a couple of years of industry experience in fiber design, it is advantageous if you have worked in Skanova's network
• Designing during the relocation of utility corridors (with both copper and optical cables)
• Prepared system and construction documents in both larger and smaller construction and development projects
• Knowledge of the infrastructure's construction levels and utility levels
• Participated and been responsible as a designer at utility coordination meetings.
• Knowledge of the construction process's order and administrative requirements, e.g., what documents are required for a request for proposal
• Knowledge of contract law
• Knowledge of AB04, ABT06, AMA, and MER Construction
• CAD or IGS

Requirements for the position:

• Driver's license B
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
