Job Responsibilities

We offer you a combined position where you will work with both leadership and clinical duties within your core profession at the clinic. The role of Chief Physician is 70 percent and includes responsibility for senior physicians and certain specialists in internal medicine, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, allergy, gastroenterology, neurology, and hematology (approximately 40 employees).

Another Chief Physician will have a corresponding role for the clinic's specialists, ST and junior doctors. The role of Chief Physician means that in addition to being the Chief Physician, you will participate in the clinic's management team along with other department heads. You are expected to collaborate closely with department heads and the physicians who have medical management functions within their respective sections.

As a leader in Region Halland, you have two missions: to steer and lead with a focus on results and to engage and motivate your employees. You are the representative of the employer and represent Region Halland, which means you need to understand the organization as a whole.

You will be employed in a permanent position in your core profession with a four-year appointment as Chief.

Halland Hospital includes the emergency hospitals in Halmstad and Varberg, and we also conduct planned operations in Kungsbacka and Falkenberg. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a physician or has another relevant educational background. You have healthcare experience and preferably previous management and leadership experience. You should have the ability to establish good relationships, lead, and motivate your employees. You should possess good communication skills and be structured in your work approach.

To fulfill the role, you also need system competence, meaning an understanding of your own role and how the parts of the whole function together within healthcare. We place great importance on personal suitability.
