Assistant Department Manager in Stroke and Neurology

Job Description

As an Assistant Department Manager, you work towards a good work environment, where you, together with the employees, create a safe and stable workplace. You also contribute to ensuring that each employee feels involved and takes responsibility for the mission of the department.

You are directly subordinate to the department manager in the section for stroke and neurology, but also collaborate closely with the department manager for the nephrology section.

The department manager is responsible for personnel, finances, and work environment, and as an assistant manager, you will support the department manager. Together, you shape the mission and distribute the work, but in your role, you are responsible for the daily operations and staffing.

We offer you a combined position, where you work both as a manager and as clinically active in your core profession. The assignment as Assistant Department Manager is at 80%.

You will be employed indefinitely in your core profession with a managerial appointment for 2 years.

Hallands Hospital includes the emergency hospitals in Halmstad and Varberg, and we also conduct planned operations in Kungsbacka and Falkenberg. Department 52 is one of four inpatient departments within the Medical Clinic. The department's focus is on the care of patients with stroke, TIA, and acute neurological diseases, as well as acute kidney diseases.

In the Medical Clinic, leadership is significant in creating a stimulating and learning environment, where with safe and efficient work methods, we can meet the challenges of the future in healthcare. Therefore, we are looking for someone with commitment who wants to continue driving this work!

Qualifications

You have a relevant education for the position and previous experience working in healthcare, preferably in inpatient care. It is a merit if you have managerial experience or have worked with development and improvement projects.

As a person, you are development- and collaboration-oriented. You see and take responsibility for the whole, follow up, provide feedback. You understand what creates engagement and motivation and can use it in dialogue with employees. In your role, you contribute to team spirit, involve, and inspire. Furthermore, you are good at collaborating, flexible, and have good communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Interviews are planned to be held on January 22nd and 23rd, week 4.
