About the Position

The Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health Management is regional and encompasses approximately 1100 employees.

Based on Region Halland's vision Best Place to Live, the Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health department works towards promoting good health among the population. Our employees are key to conducting high-quality operations, always with the patients as our starting point.

As a front-line manager, you represent Region Halland as an employer. Together with other department managers, you are responsible for driving the daily operations of the department (general radiology, nuclear medicine, and mammography), which includes responsibility for finances, personnel, and operations. You are an important part of the management team and are expected to be engaged in promoting the best interests of both your own workplace and the Radiology Halland department - always with the patient and the residents of Halland in focus.

Radiology Halland consists of facilities in Halmstad, Varberg, Kungsbacka, Falkenberg, and Hylte. As a department manager, you will work together with Radiology's other facilities in Halland to operate Radiology Halland as one clinic.

You will be employed indefinitely in your core profession with a four-year appointment as a manager. Depending on your core profession, there may be opportunities for some clinical duties.

The position is located in Halmstad.

About the Workplace

At the Radiology department in Halmstad, there are currently around 90 employees, where you will be the immediate supervisor for approximately 25 doctors. You will work together with three other department managers in Halmstad, who are responsible for the remaining staff categories. Administrative support is also available within the clinic and area.

The Radiology department in Halmstad consists of mammography, nuclear medicine, bone density services, conventional radiology, ultrasound, some interventions, CT, and MR.

Radiology Halland is in an expansive development phase and has a renewed and modern machine park. We are also at the beginning of a digital development journey.

Qualifications

You, as an applicant, have a relevant university education in healthcare that the employer deems suitable for the position. Medical education is advantageous. Previous experience in a leadership position and change management work are also beneficial.

You have the ability to take a clear employer perspective and a holistic view of the operations. You are direct, courageous, and clear, with good self-awareness. You act as a role model and norm creator in your leadership. Furthermore, we see that you are confident, responsible, and structured, with the ability to involve, engage, and motivate employees to develop the operations towards set goals.

It is important that you are communicative and have a good ability to collaborate and build good relationships with various partners. Proficiency in the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement.

To succeed in the role, you also need comprehensive system competence, meaning an understanding of your own role and how the parts of the whole work together within healthcare.

Significant emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
