The Department of Earth Sciences is Sweden's largest and most versatile institution of its kind with a unique breadth and approximately 280 employees. Our activities are interdisciplinary and combine natural sciences and engineering with social sciences. We have research programs in air, water, and landscape science; geophysics; natural resources and sustainable development; mineralogy, petrology, and tectonics; paleobiology and wind energy. By studying the history of the Earth, we understand how the planet has developed and how our pursuit of sustainable development can benefit from this knowledge.

The Wind Energy Unit at Campus Gotland conducts interdisciplinary activities in planning, design, and optimization of wind power and sustainable energy transition. The activities consist of teaching, research, and collaborative projects. The education includes teaching on campus and remotely at both basic and advanced levels in wind power design and sustainable energy transition. In research, we have a solid breadth and collaborate both nationally and internationally. Today, the unit comprises about 20 people with technical, natural, and social science expertise.

Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include teaching, administration, or participation in research or artistic research.

• Assist in the teaching and administration of the online course Vindkraftskurs.se.
• Perform administrative tasks within the department/unit.
• Create teaching materials.

As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside your ongoing studies.

Qualifications

To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Wind Power Design. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable/meritorious

It is desirable if you are good at producing graphic/video material for teaching.

About the Employment

The employment is temporary for 3 months according to HF 5 chap § 12. The extent is 20%. Start date is 2025-02-15 or by agreement. Place of employment: Visby.
