DFDS Professionals is now looking for a dedicated ship agent for their Gothenburg office!

About the Position

In the role of Ship Agent, you will have the opportunity for an exciting and varied job. You will, together with your colleagues, manage contacts with shipping companies, vessels, terminals, and authorities. The work includes office tasks, reporting to authorities, document management, and visits on board incoming vessels, customs clearance of vessels and their cargo.

The position is full-time with working hours from 08:30 to 17:00, but as the operation runs around the clock, on-call duty in the evenings and weekends is also included.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in the shipping industry. Previous experience in forwarding/logistics/ship clearance is an advantage. In this role, you are expected to take responsibility and work independently, while also having good teamwork skills and enjoying being part of a team. You are solution-oriented, able to handle unforeseen situations, and motivated to deliver effective solutions with high quality.

As a person, you have a strong sense of service and a professional demeanor in all contacts. You are communicative, open to change, and able to adapt to new circumstances. Additionally, you have the ability to act quickly and responsibly in a dynamic environment where adjustments are a natural part of everyday life. It is expected that you are flexible in working uncomfortable hours to assist with vessel arrivals.

Requirements for the Position

• Driver's license (B)
• Swedish and English, spoken and written
• Previous experience in the shipping industry/forwarding/logistics/ship clearance is an advantage

Mobile Consultant:

You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work out at our clients. Being a mobile consultant means being employed by us at DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, where your workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
