Do you want to work extra at a small, family-oriented preschool in a unique environment? At Montessoriförskolan Lilla Kvikkjokk, we are looking for substitutes who can step in as needed – perhaps this suits you if you are studying, working part-time, or simply want to work with children without a full-time commitment.

The preschool is beautifully located on Djurgården in Stockholm, with forests, sea, and parks nearby. We are a small preschool with two departments and a total of 33 children. The operation has been running since 1991 and is run as a parent cooperative, which means a close collaboration between educators and guardians. Our pedagogy is based on Lpfö 18, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Montessori idea that every child is competent, curious, and learns through their own activity.

We who work here are a warm and close-knit team where many of us have been at the preschool for many years. As a small preschool, we have short decision-making paths and close dialogue in everyday life. Our principal, Emilie, also works partially with the children and is present as a supportive leader in the operation – creating a safe and open work environment where everyone can have their say.

We are looking for someone who

• has experience working with children, for example from preschool, babysitting, or children's activities
• has a genuine interest in working with children aged 1-6 years
• is passionate about a particular area, e.g. creativity, music, nature, or outdoor life – that you want to share with the children
• is flexible, responsible, and confident in themselves
• wants to contribute to a warm, safe, and stimulating everyday life for the children

It is an advantage if you have training or experience as a childcare worker/preschool teacher, but it is not a requirement – your personality, commitment, and willingness to work with children are the most important.
