Security guards work with the surveillance of critical infrastructure, where the demand for safety is at its maximum. As a security guard, one can either have a basic security guard training with a shortened security guard course or have completed a longer basic training as a security guard.

- A security guard approval from the county administrative board is also required.

We have high demands on our security guards regarding personal qualities, experience of working in a public environment, and legal knowledge. Avarn Security is tasked with delivering personnel security services to the Saab Group in Sweden and abroad. The delivery is a significant part of a coordinated security delivery with Avarn Security's surveillance and technology organization.

The coordinated security delivery is one of Sweden's most complex, dynamic, and visible assignments with a nationwide customer responsibility for the group.

Working hours: Varying hours day and night

Workplace: Karlskoga

Duration: Full-time, part-time, and on-call employment.

Start date: By agreement. Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously, so the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Job responsibilities: As a security guard, you will work in many different environments with very varied tasks such as staffing various fixed positions, patrolling, and ensuring that no unauthorized persons have access to the protected objects.

The position may include armed service, and assessment conversations will be applied for this competence.

Qualities we are looking for: You want to work with security-creating tasks and have a natural ability to combine service with a pronounced security mindset. You are meticulous and structured in your work approach as there may be some administrative work involved in the position. We are looking for security-conscious and service-oriented employees with an inner security and a natural drive to help. We also highly value your communication and collaboration skills, as this assignment involves a lot of contact with both customers, contractors, and visitors. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify problems and solve them.

Requirements for applicants:

• Of legal age and without a criminal record
• Swedish citizenship
• Drug-free
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish spoken and written
• Good English spoken
• Good health and fitness
• Orderly finances

Meritorious:

• Security guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• Security guard training, military or civilian
• Weapon training
• Previous experience in service occupations

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security check will be conducted, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement for the position.
