Sorsele municipality's meal service provides food for childcare, schools, and elderly care. The meal service is managed by a central kitchen responsible for the preparation, serving of school meals, and distribution to reception kitchens and home care.

We currently have a need for substitutes for cooks or kitchen assistants. In the kitchen, production takes place 7 days a week, which means that the work includes weekend shifts.

The reception kitchens in Sorsele town and Blattnicksele operate 5 days a week.

We are urgently looking for you who are a cook or kitchen assistant.

Job Responsibilities:

In the role of cook or kitchen assistant, you will work with your colleagues on various tasks in the kitchen. Preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Dishwashing, cleaning, daily routines for self-control, and ordering are also part of your responsibilities.

Your Qualities:

As a person, you are flexible, responsible, attentive, and able to handle stress. Being a good colleague who is easy to collaborate with is a given. You have good service skills and place great focus on the customer. With a genuine interest in food, you actively participate in continuously developing the municipality's meal service.

Competence/Qualifications:

You should have a food technology education for large-scale kitchens, another equivalent education in kitchen and food, or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in the service industry and basic knowledge of food hygiene are advantageous. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Duration/Working Hours:

Start date by agreement. Hourly employment.

Salary:

According to agreement. The municipality applies individual salary setting.
