Teacher for Culinary Education at Västerbottens Folk High School

Västerbottens Folk High School, located in seven different locations in Vindeln, Storuman, Tärnaby, Örnsköldsvik, Åsele, Lycksele, and Umeå, is part of Region Västerbotten. Our vision is to be Sweden's most welcoming folk high school, actively working with the cornerstones of trust, inclusion, participation, and accessibility.

We are now seeking a dedicated teacher for our culinary education in Vindeln. As a culinary teacher with us, you are expected to combine teaching with traditional cooking tasks and leadership in the kitchen. We aim to educate the chefs of the future by integrating professional knowledge with personal development.

Job Responsibilities:

Teaching culinary subjects
Guidance and support for participants
Operation of kitchen/lunch restaurant
Comprehensive view of the role
Theme days and activities

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with a culinary education and pedagogical experience. You should have good knowledge of menu planning, ordering supplies, and self-control. Experience in management and knowledge of neuropsychiatric functional variations are advantageous.
