We are now looking for a Technical Project Manager in Data Warehouse and Decision Support for the city of Malmö

Malmö city's DoA team (Data and Analysis) is now seeking a senior project manager who wants to contribute to a team characterized by collaboration, loyalty, and shared responsibility for deliveries within the BI area.

About the assignment

As a technical project manager, you will drive several parallel projects within decision support, data warehousing, visualization, and data integration. You will serve as a cohesive link between the business and the development team, responsible for requirements definition, coordination, and quality assurance of delivery. The assignments vary in complexity and require both technical understanding and strong communication skills.

Mandatory requirements:

At least 5 years of documented experience as a project manager

Experience with projects in Business Intelligence or decision support

The projects must have involved work with data warehousing, visualization, data integration, or BI report development in larger organizations

Very good communication skills – both towards the business and the development team

Relevant higher education (e.g., computer science, informatics, or equivalent)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Desirable:

Experience in driving agile projects

Terms and practical information

Location: Physical presence in Malmö city's premises is required at least one day a week, including joint team meetings and as needed in operational projects

Scope: 50% of full-time as a base. Can be temporarily increased to up to 100% based on needs and agreement

Start date: August 25, 2025

End date: January 31, 2026

Option for extension: 18 months (on existing terms)

Security requirements: The consultant must undergo a security review level 3 if Malmö city requires this during the assignment

Confidentiality: The consultant must sign a confidentiality agreement

Last day for bids: August 10, 2025
