Ametisten is a modern nursing home in Solna for individuals with dementia and somatic illnesses. We offer individually tailored care with heart, integrity, and choice. Ametisten has an activity profile that includes history, literature, film, and theater. We collaborate with local heritage associations, film studios, and libraries in Solna. Young people from Ung Omsorg visit the residence to add an extra touch of joy to everyday life.

About the role

You will work in a team with physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff, and your task is to enhance quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs.

As an occupational therapist, you will work with residents to find the best ways to utilize their own abilities in daily life. You will support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social abilities. This often involves:

• assessing and adapting the daily environment.
• prescribing and recommending physical and cognitive aids.
• guiding your colleagues in rehabilitative efforts, approaches, transfer techniques, etc.
• maintaining contact with the residents' relatives.

Your experience and knowledge

We believe that you, who are applying to us:

You are a licensed occupational therapist, and we prefer that you have several years of experience in elderly care. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is required.
