Now you have the chance to work seasonally as a boat host on the boat buses in the Värmland archipelago municipalities.

You now have the opportunity to work aboard the highly appreciated boat buses that operate in several of the archipelago municipalities in northern Vänern. We can offer you a fantastic summer with Vänern and Klarälven as your workplace. As a boat host, you will find yourself in the heart of Värmland aboard our beautiful wooden boats.

Based in Inre Hamn in Karlstad, your workplace will be the waters of Karlstad, Hammarö, and Kristinehamn municipalities.

We are now looking for boat hosts for the 2025 season.

The position applies to our passenger boats that operate the Värmland public transport during the summer months of June, July, and August under the concept of "boat bus".

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Preferably is at least 18 years old
• Is social and responsible
• Loves meeting people and always puts passengers first
• Feels comfortable in social situations and can sell onboard the boats
• Is service-minded and solution-focused
• Is not afraid to pitch in when needed
• Is a team player who always focuses on the experience
• Speaks fluent English and feels comfortable conversing in English.

Profile

As a person, you are responsible and driven. You are social, positive, enjoy working in teams, and meeting new people.

You are the face of the company and the first person our passengers meet when they board. You need to be approachable and able to answer questions and assist those traveling with us.

You are responsible for the onboard experience, which also includes service, cleaning the boat, and ensuring it meets our standards. In close cooperation with the captain, you ensure that passengers have a safe and pleasant journey as you serve as safety personnel.

It is important that you are attentive and have good collaboration and initiative skills as we are a small workgroup. Therefore, we place great importance on your personal qualities.

If you are offered a position with us, we will provide you with the necessary safety training.

Meritorious

• Good local knowledge.
• A willingness to stand in front of an audience and handle unexpected events.
• Experience on the water is a plus, but not a requirement
• Similar work experience in service occupations

Employment Conditions

The employment is seasonal from June to August. Some work may occur in the pre- and post-season as needed. You are expected to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends as scheduled.
