Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist at Furuhöjden, you will work with patients in both acute and planned neurological rehabilitation, where you will have the opportunity to work broadly with various neurological diagnoses. You will be responsible for assessing the patient's functional and ADL abilities and planning and implementing individual rehabilitation plans together with the patient and the team. The work includes training and guiding patients both individually and in groups, focusing on managing cognitive challenges and brain fatigue. You will also work with cognitive mapping and activity balance to facilitate the patient's daily life. The position also includes home visits to ensure that patients have the right support and aids in their daily lives. As an important part of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate daily with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. Together, you create a holistic view of the patient and ensure that rehabilitation is effective and person-centered. In this role, there is also the opportunity to work with other departments such as orthopedics.

In this role, you will also work with social planning, prescribing aids, and managing documentation and certificates, as well as contact with external parties. As part of the interdisciplinary team, you will be involved in nursing work and contribute to the overall care of Furuhöjden's patients.

Education, experience, and personal qualities Requirements: • Licensed occupational therapist • Work experience in neurological rehabilitation • Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written • Knowledge of TakeCare Desirable: • Experience with LifeCare • Knowledge of cognitive strategies and assessment tools such as MoCa • Previous experience in inpatient rehabilitation • Driver's license In this role, you will become part of a close-knit team where collaboration is key.
