At Humana Björnö, we need to strengthen our team with nursing assistants who have experience in dementia care and understand that the job requires both patience and decisiveness. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who knows that the residents' needs always come before long coffee breaks – you are driven, focused, and understand that care always comes first.

About the job Dementia care is not for everyone. It requires mental strength, stability, and the ability to handle unpredictable situations. With us, you will work with elderly individuals who have complex care needs, and no day is the same. You will face challenges – from outwardly aggressive behaviors to withdrawal. But you will also experience the small moments of connection and joy that make it all worthwhile.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience in dementia care and knows what it entails
• Can maintain professionalism even in emotionally demanding situations
• Understands that the residents cannot help their illness
• Is resilient and can prioritize when the workload increases
• Is self-driven and takes responsibility for your tasks
• Has training as a nursing assistant
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

Your responsibilities:

• Care for elderly individuals with dementia with varying needs
• Medication management according to delegation
• Clear and accurate documentation
• Active collaboration with nurses and other staff
• Professional handling of challenging behaviors

Requirements:

• Certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare as a nursing assistant
• At least 1 year of documented experience in dementia care
