Heating and Ventilation Specialist

Marks Bostads AB is a publicly owned housing company fully owned by the municipality. We own and manage approximately 3,800 apartments and about 200 smaller premises in 14 locations within Marks municipality for rental to private individuals and municipal care. Currently, we have 69 employees working within the company. Most work in our residential areas close to our tenants, while others work from our offices located in Kinna and Örby. We have a variety of professional categories represented, but regardless of job role, we all work towards the same vision of creating safe and pleasant housing for all, together with our tenants and partners.

The goal of this role is to ensure that heating and ventilation are optimal in our buildings, and you will contribute to our vision of creating safe and pleasant housing for everyone.

The daily work is both varied and social, and you will be moving daily in our residential areas throughout the municipality. Your geographical location will be at our area office in Skene, and you will have access to a company car for work purposes.

You will have active collaboration internally, primarily with property managers and administration, but also with our tenants.

It is important that you have a comprehensive understanding of how the property technical systems are interconnected, such as installations for power and lighting, ventilation, HVAC systems, control & regulation, as well as a strong interest in energy and climate issues.

Today, we primarily use the systems eGain and WebFactory, as well as the Momentum property system.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, adjust, and perform repairs on heating and ventilation systems as well as district heating plants.
  • Service ventilation units and district heating plants.
  • Replace motor valves and circulation pumps.
  • Perform flow measurements.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct simpler investigations of heating and ventilation problems, e.g., smoke odor and drafts.
  • Address OVK remarks of levels 1 and 2.
  • Continuously work on energy saving/energy optimization in consultation with energy technicians.
  • Perform balancing of heating.
  • Order ongoing service from external parties.
  • Handle related administration such as control, coding, and approval of invoices as well as statistical follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with vocational training in heating and ventilation and a genuine interest combined with practical experience of at least 1 year after training. You are skilled at finding sustainable solutions, both budget-wise and in terms of effective maintenance. The computer and phone are obvious tools for you in your daily work, and you easily adapt to new systems. It is an advantage if you have experience working in the housing and property sector, e.g., as a property manager/tenant representative/community host with some administrative responsibility.
