We are looking for a strategic buyer who wants to take a place in a technically forward-looking company with deep roots in public transport. Here, you will work in an organization characterized by professionalism, commitment, and a clear sense of tradition, care, and respect – both for our employees and the communities we operate in. The operations include traffic on several of the city's busiest tram lines as well as regional lines, with operation and maintenance from four depots around the Stockholm area. About the Role We are looking for someone who wants to work strategically to develop and ensure procurement processes that are of high quality, cost-effective, and sustainable. As a strategic buyer, you will play a central role in ensuring material and service deliveries to our vehicle technical operations – a function that is crucial for the reliability of traffic and our long-term goals in sustainability and innovation. Main Responsibilities: -Strategic and tactical procurement: Conduct procurements of components, materials, and services with a focus on vehicles and trains. -Supplier management: Build strong and long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality in the supply chain. -Negotiation: Drive negotiations regarding price, quality, and delivery terms. -Quality and compliance: Ensure that purchases meet technical requirements and comply with laws, regulations, and internal standards. -Risk management: Identify and manage risks in the supply chain. -Cost and market analyses: Perform analyses to identify savings opportunities and monitor market developments within the relevant technology area. -Category and supplier strategies: Develop strategies within different product categories in close collaboration with technology and maintenance. We are looking for someone who has:
-Post-secondary education in procurement, technology, or a related field. -Experience in procurement, preferably within technically complex environments such as transport, infrastructure, or vehicles. -Good understanding of contracts, delivery standards, and international trade terms (e.g., Incoterms). -Experience from the rail, vehicle, or process industry is an advantage. -Ability to analyze technical solutions and supplier capabilities. We believe you are a person who: -Communicates clearly in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. -Has good negotiation skills and works long-term with supplier relationships. -Thinks strategically and is not afraid to take initiative or propose new solutions. -Is analytical, structured, and driven by finding cost-effective solutions. -Is a collaborative team player who enjoys working across departmental boundaries. We offer: -A central role in a company with a strong societal impact and technical breadth. -The opportunity to influence the future procurement strategies within public transport. -A work environment where development, innovation, and sustainability are at the center. -A dedicated team with high competence and strong commitment. Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Submit your application today – we look forward to hearing from you.
