About DFDS Logistics Contracts

DFDS Logistics Contracts is a full-service terminal within contract logistics located in Arendal, near the Port of Gothenburg. The terminal's operations include cross-dock handling and the management and storage of packaging.

About the position

As a forklift operator at DFDS Professionals, you will primarily work within terminal logistics, which involves operating counterbalance forklifts with long forks. Here, you will not only be moving items from A to B but may also face complex transshipment tasks that require focus and dexterity on your part.

For this position, we are looking for someone with experience operating counterbalance forklifts up to 20 tons, where you will be working with transshipment of containers and side tasks within our operations.

Your daily tasks and responsibilities in your role may include:

• Operating counterbalance forklifts
• Loading and unloading goods
• Efficiently stacking and storing products
• Working on other tasks related to terminal operations
• Container unloading

Working hours are scheduled for evenings from 14:55 to 23:40. The workplace is located in Arendal, Gothenburg. 

This position is a full-time employment with immediate start. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

About you

We need someone who has operated forklifts extensively and feels comfortable behind the wheel. Since you will be working independently, we expect you to have a strong work ethic and be good at planning and prioritizing your tasks. You are flexible and unpretentious regarding your work and understand the importance of good customer service.

Requirements for the position

• Forklift license A+B
• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy counterbalance forklifts
• Experience with long forks is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Being a mobile consultant means you are employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, and your workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and placement may occur before the application deadline.
