Sous Chef at Taste by Nordrest – Arlanda Airport

Are you ready to take the next step in your culinary career in an inspiring and vibrant environment? We are now looking for a dedicated and driven Sous Chef to join our team at Taste by Nordrest, located at Arlanda Airport – where the world meets and the pace is high!

About us

Welcome to Taste by Nordrest where we serve a generous seasonal Swedish home-cooked meal with international influences.

There are always at least four dishes to choose from and a large salad buffet, and with coffee, there is always something sweet to round off your meal. Under each restaurant, you will find menus and current offers. We can also help you take your meeting or conference to a whole new level – whether it’s about coffee breaks, lighter dishes, hearty buffets, or large dinners.

Located at Arlanda Airport, open seven days a week from 05:00 to 21:00

Nordrest is Sweden's up-and-coming player in the restaurant industry, a pure restaurant company that works with restaurants, catering assignments, schools, and within care. About the role

As a Sous Chef, you are an important part of the kitchen management team. You work closely with our head chef and are responsible for ensuring the daily operations run smoothly – from planning and production to quality assurance and staff management.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the head chef in daily operations and be the kitchen's natural leader in their absence
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team
  • Ensure high quality of all food served
  • Follow and develop routines for hygiene, safety, and self-control
  • Contribute to menu and concept development

Who are you? We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a few years of experience as a chef in a leading role
  • Is confident in the kitchen, organized, and solution-oriented
  • Has a genuine interest in food and sustainability
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and in a team
  • Has good communication skills and speaks Swedish and/or English
  • Can get to Arlanda Airport at varying times

Experience from large kitchens, restaurants, or catering is an advantage. If you have previously worked at an airport or similar environment, that is a big plus!

Employment type: Permanent, with a 6-month probationary period

Extent: Full-time

Working hours: Varying working hours including evenings and weekends, we work with a 26-week schedule.
