The VA unit plans and conducts the municipality's water and sewage operations, manages water and sewage facilities, produces and distributes drinking water, and diverts wastewater and stormwater, and participates in the municipality's community development, e.g., detailed planning work. The unit employs 25 people. The VA unit has staff located in the municipal building, at the Brodalen industrial area, and at the Kåsjön waterworks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a water meter technician with us at the VA unit. The work involves, among other things, replacing water meters for our customers and cleaning manholes/drains. It also includes performing various types of maintenance and working on maintenance planning for the pipeline network within the municipality.

You will work alongside two experienced VA technicians who will support and help you plan your work until you have settled into your role and become more independent.

The position is a part-time temporary contract, but the working hours may increase to full-time. There may also be an opportunity for extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is handy and quick to learn. You have good collaboration skills and are service-oriented. To succeed in this job, you need to be professional, meticulous, and a good communicator, as you will be working closely with our subscribers, our residents. You need to be driven, engaged, and self-sufficient. In this position, you will work both in a team and independently. As the work pace varies over time, it is important for us that you are flexible and adaptable.

The position requires a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Education or solid experience in plumbing work
• Computer skills as the job includes administrative tasks
• Experience in service work to professionally meet our customers
