We are now looking for two instrumentation technicians for Instrument and Automation who want to contribute to our goal of achieving a disruption-free production. As an Instrument Technician at Uddeholm, you will belong to the Instrument and Automation department and have a significant responsibility in the work towards a disruption-free production alongside your colleagues. In addition to collaborating with electricians in the department, you will also work with other maintenance groups, depending on the size and nature of the assignment.

Your tasks

In your role as an instrumentation technician, you will troubleshoot both old and new control equipment for our furnaces. You will also perform calibration and control of thermocouples and regulators. Check temperature uniformity measurements in furnaces and gas warning equipment, as well as perform pressure calibration. Your tasks will also include assisting in troubleshooting instruments for our Lab. You are also expected to be responsible for preventive maintenance (PM) within the instrumentation department.

The work is scheduled during daytime.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking on significant responsibility and likes to work both independently and collaboratively. You have a high school diploma as an electrician or equivalent. Previous experience in control & regulation and maintenance work is an advantage. To succeed in the role, it is important to be able to read and understand PLC programs within one of the following systems: Siemens Step7, Siemens TIA Portal. You should also be able to read and understand the structure of control circuits and read electrical schematics. A fitness certificate is required for the position.
