Now we are looking for a Property Manager for the Scandic Arvika hotel.

At Scandic, everyone works together to create a world-class guest experience throughout the guest's stay. As a Property Manager, you have significant responsibility for improving work methods and service as the world changes. The hotel has over 100 hotel rooms, a wellness department, conference floor, gym, restaurant environments, and a hostel that we operate.

Scandic Arvika is a welcoming oasis in the heart of Värmland, and we are now looking for one or more driven and engaged property managers who want to be part of our team and take care of our facility.

What does the role of Property Manager entail?

As a Property Manager, you are responsible for keeping the hotel in good condition and ensuring it is a safe and secure place for guests and employees. Scandic is a tenant and is operationally responsible for both the hotel's property and the building. You work proactively with fire and safety and handle preventive and emergency maintenance, both practically and administratively. Sustainability is an important guiding principle, and you actively work to incorporate it into our work methods. The Property Manager reports to the hotel director.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, commitments in lease agreements, and that Scandic's concepts and standards are followed
  • Be Scandic's contact point for technical issues and delineation towards the landlord
  • Establish operational and maintenance plans and plan and participate in the execution of daily operations and maintenance of the hotel
  • Follow up on consumptions, report environmental data to authorities, Svanen™, etc.
  • Analysis and actions for optimizing the building's climate system, heating, and ventilation.
  • Budgeting and follow-up
  • Systematic fire protection work, perimeter security, and overall safety and security work, training colleagues and new employees in the area

Who are you?

Responsibility and drive are essential for this position, as well as structure and organizational ability. You motivate, guide, and actively participate in practical work. You have a good ability to collaborate and have a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service.

For the role, experience in technical management and technical education at least at the high school level is required. You may have an interest in areas such as electrical, HVAC, or control technology. You also need to have good knowledge of fire safety, AFF definitions, and regulations within real estate. If you have facility management training in fire alarms & sprinklers and certification in Hot Work, it is an advantage. Additionally, we want you to have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English.


Information about the position:

The position is a permanent part-time/full-time employment.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Pool cleaning and maintenance. Daily monitoring of water quality, cleaning, and ensuring that the pool area is clean and welcoming.
  • Waste management – Efficient and environmentally friendly waste management for the entire property.
  • Property maintenance – Supervision, repairs, and general maintenance of our buildings and outdoor environments, hotel rooms, etc.
  • Furnishing and arrangements – Assisting with setup and rearrangement for events and conferences.
  • General maintenance – Minor repairs, simple painting work, and keeping the facility in top condition.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in property maintenance or similar tasks.
  • Is practical, self-sufficient, and solution-oriented. Has basic knowledge of repairs and maintenance.
  • Has a positive attitude and a service-oriented approach.
  • Has a driver's license.

You need to be self-sufficient and driven and ensure that things get done. A keen eye for detail is a plus.

NOTE: The position can be 2 people at 50%, 1 person at 75%, or 1 person at 100% depending on the applications we receive. This needs to be stated in your application.
