About the job

At SCB, we handle large amounts of data daily with fast information flows, and we constantly strive to find better solutions to simplify and future-proof our statistics. SCB's IT department is primarily located in Örebro with about 100 employees responsible for the IT systems that enable statistical production.

SCB is currently making significant exciting investments in IT to support SCB's statistical production. This investment involves building a new modern data center and development platforms that, with new technology and new working methods, meet SCB's future statistical production. In connection with this investment, we are now looking for more employees in IT across various technology areas. We hope you want to be part of our vision for the future.

Are you interested in joining us on our journey and working as an IT technician within infrastructure?

As an IT technician within SQL, you will work in a modern infrastructure environment where you and your team are responsible for the authority's database environment. We work closely together with a strong focus on security, automation, and efficiency. Part of the work is done in project form.

About you

We are looking for someone with a strong drive, commitment, and a desire to improve things. It is primarily your attitude, mindset, and burning interest in technology that will determine if this role is right for you!

We want you to have:

• A degree in IT or equivalent education/work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• At least three years of current experience in:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• T-SQL
• Windows Server
• At least one year of current experience in:
• PowerShell
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is a plus if you also have knowledge and experience in:

• MongoDB
• Elasticsearch or other NoSQL databases
• Linux
• Kubernetes

For this to be a good match for both you and us, you need to be solution-oriented and quality-conscious. You have the ability to communicate with both experts and non-experts in the IT field. You have a strong drive and a great desire to work on improvements and efficiencies. You are also self-sufficient and structured, have good collaboration and communication skills, and enjoy working in a team.

More information

This position is located in the IT/IOS/PL section in Örebro, Åkullegatan 14. Travel to Solna strand may occur.

The employment is permanent and usually starts with a six-month probationary period. Based on the operational conditions, there is also the possibility to work some time from home.

The start date will be agreed upon. The tasks are security classified, which means that a security check will be conducted before employment.

You should be willing to be part of a standby chain that handles priority 1 incidents outside regular office hours.
