Land Negotiator for Infrastructure Projects

Job Responsibilities

As a land negotiator, you will be responsible for land access issues, which include negotiating compensation for encroachments and acquisitions of properties, drafting property law agreements, managing damage regulations/disputes, and participating in planning and design work. You will represent the Swedish Transport Administration in land survey proceedings and other contacts with authorities and individual property owners. It is a varied role where you work both independently and together with your colleagues, and you are involved in the entire chain from planning, design work, construction phase to handover of the completed facility.

Qualifications

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed as a land negotiator, you should be confident in your role and your skills. You are communicative in both speech and writing and have a knack for building trusting relationships and explaining messages so that everyone understands. Since the role involves extensive contacts both internally and externally, we emphasize the importance of your ability to establish trusting relationships and collaborate effectively with your colleagues. The job responsibilities include both independent work and teamwork, so it is important that you are proactive and can independently see what needs to be done, as well as having good collaboration skills and a structured working method. Furthermore, you are motivated by active employee participation, where you responsibly take charge of your tasks while being attentive to how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others. You also possess good analytical problem-solving skills.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in land surveying/community building/community planning or a law degree with a focus on property law, or you have another relevant academic education that the Swedish Transport Administration assesses as equivalent
  • has several years of current and relevant work experience in property law issues gained in a role as a property manager, development engineer, or land surveyor, or other experience that the Swedish Transport Administration assesses as equivalent
  • has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • has a driver's license for passenger cars

It is meritorious if you

  • have current and relevant experience working with property law issues within infrastructure
