About Water and Environmental Resources
Water and Environmental Resources ensures that you receive fresh drinking water from your tap every day and a clean environment. We work to make your daily life function here and now, and to ensure that nature's resources last. We exist so that future generations can also enjoy the mountains, rivers, forests, and land.
The company is owned by the municipalities of Bergs, Bräcke, and Härjedalen. We are responsible for the operation of the water and sewage supply of the owner municipalities, producing and distributing drinking water, as well as treating and purifying wastewater. The company is also responsible for the municipalities' waste management, collecting and handling waste and sludge. In total, we have just over 100 employees.
We operate over a large geographical area and have offices in Sveg, Hede, Funäsdalen, Svenstavik, Hackås, and Bräcke, which provides great opportunities to work from different locations. Currently, several larger projects are underway, including a major expansion of municipal water and sewage in Härjedalen. The purpose is to ensure long-term stable operations for water and sewage supply, with increased environmental requirements and exploitation in tourist areas.
