About the job:

The Community Building Administration is one of four administrations in Kinda municipality. The other administrations are the Health and Social Care Administration, the Education Administration, and the Municipal Executive Administration. The Community Building Administration develops the community and has a broad mandate. We offer a workplace with creative discussions, a fast pace, and solution-focused working methods. The administration consists of about 150 dedicated employees with varying roles and areas of work. Right now, we are looking for someone who wants to develop with us and is curious about working with our facilities in water and sewage. We see every employee as an important player, and that is why you should work with us!

Job responsibilities:

As a facility worker, you will manage our waste facility Adlerskog and our recycling stations around the municipality together with your colleagues. It is a varied job that involves informing and assisting private individuals in sorting their waste correctly to increase the recycling rate. Tasks such as sorting hazardous waste, container changes, cleaning our facilities, operating machinery, transloading, and checking the fill levels of various fractions are also part of the job. You should feel comfortable working both independently and with colleagues. The tasks vary with the seasons, and there is scheduled work at the waste facility on Mondays from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM during the summer months and between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM on even Saturdays (once a month).

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has at least a high school education and has worked in a service profession with customer contacts. If you have worked in the waste industry and are interested in environmental issues, we consider this an advantage for the position.

You need to enjoy working outdoors.

A B driver's license for manual transmission is required for the position. Certificates for excavators and/or wheel loaders, ADR 1:3, and Asbestos basic training are also advantageous. We use digital tools for weighing systems and more, so you should have good computer skills.

To succeed in this role, you need to be responsible, engaged, structured, proactive, problem-solving, and meticulous. You will work in a small team and act as an ambassador for the municipality as you meet many of our residents. Therefore, it is crucial that you have a professional demeanor, are service-oriented, and can communicate easily while being quality- and safety-conscious.
