Temporary Cook/Kitchen Assistant - Children and Youth Administration in Järfälla Municipality

Job Responsibilities

As a temporary cook or kitchen assistant in the staffing service, you will replace regular employees in their absence and work within the concert activities in preschools and schools. The units' needs determine how much work you will get, and therefore we cannot guarantee you work every day.

You should live within a reasonable distance to be able to get to the workplace within a reasonable time.

We use the IT system TimePool where you enter the times you want to work, which are then matched against the needs of the operations. This means that you must have access to the internet and a mobile phone for us to offer you work.

One of the goals of our food operations is to serve good and well-prepared meals that meet the children's and students' needs for energy and nutrition, all according to Swedish dietary recommendations. The meals should lay the foundation for and promote good public health and be characterized by quality and service thinking.

Qualifications

Kitchen Assistant- Primarily, we are looking for someone with a high school education specializing in institutional catering or equivalent education. If you also have previous experience working in large kitchens, we see it as a merit.

Cook- Primarily, we are looking for someone with a chef education or equivalent education. If you also have previous experience working in large kitchens, we see it as a merit. Working alone in the kitchen occurs, so you need to be able to work independently.

You must enjoy and see it as a challenge to work in new workplaces, collaborate with new colleagues, and feel confident in this. Because the position requires quickly contributing to a good work performance, you must be able to work independently and have the ability to take initiative. The work requires you to be outgoing and enjoy an environment with both adults and children.

It is desirable that you have knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern the meal service. Applicants with knowledge of food hygiene and special diets are advantageous.

Since our employees work Monday to Friday on a schedule with working hours between 06:30-17:30, we are looking for someone who can work during these hours. You should be able to work at least five days per month.

You must be able to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
