Reporters for the Editorial Team in Norrköping

We are currently looking for reporters to join the editorial team in Norrköping, driven by the passion to tell engaging and impactful news stories. Our mission is to cover, investigate, and report while highlighting local issues in SVT's national reporting. Our storytelling is primarily in video format, created mainly for our online platform, SVT Nyheter app, as well as for our daily TV broadcasts.

We are seeking individuals who are interested in local community issues. You can find news with significant impact and place them in context. You are adept at finding angles and have a strong sense of journalistic awareness. You transition between working on planned journalism and fast-paced news events. You are also the future's video storyteller who challenges form and visual thinking.

Requirements:

Journalism degree or equivalent experience
Experience working as a journalist
Driver's license

Merits:

Experience with video production, filming, and editing

What this position entails:

Monitoring events in Östergötland County, primarily for online publication but also for TV. As a reporter, you will independently produce local news videos and articles, from idea to finished content. The role includes photography, editing, writing, and publishing on all platforms. In addition to day shifts, the position also involves recurring morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

SVT Nyheter Öst has four editorial offices: Norrköping, Linköping, Visby, and Västervik. We also contribute to SVT's national platforms such as svt.se, Rapport, Aktuellt, Sverige idag, and Veckans.
