As a childcare worker, you are responsible for ensuring that our educational approach permeates your work. About Finnboda Preschool

At our preschool, we believe that children learn in meaningful contexts together with other people, environments, and materials. Therefore, we see our environments as a valuable resource; something that is alive and constantly evolving. Play has a central place in our education as we see it as the foundation for all development and learning. We have teaching groups outdoors as well, working collaboratively across departments, and all children are everyone's responsibility. To equip children for a digital present and future, we create conditions for them to understand digital technology, information flow, source criticism, and the basics of programming.

Our work teams consist of dedicated preschool teachers and childcare workers who, together with the children, drive the work forward. Children's participation and influence are important keywords in our daily work, as well as every child's right to be themselves. We work norm-creatively to counteract children being limited by stereotypical norms and to ensure that all children are reflected in the activities through, for example, pictures, books, and materials.

Finnboda Preschool is located in the historic and seafront shipyard area of Finnboda hamn. We have six departments, with a total of 117 children, divided into smaller groups during the day, both outdoors and indoors. The preschool's outdoor environment is divided into two yards where we can distribute ourselves and let the children encounter different types of environments. Nearby the preschool, there are beautiful natural and forest areas, as well as good connections to both Södermalm and other parts of Nacka.

Your Qualifications

Qualified childcare worker
Good communication skills in Swedish, both written and verbal
Experience and interest in digital tools and systems
Collaborative skills and an approach to sharing knowledge and experience for collegial learning

Position Information

Full-time. Entry according to agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period
