Our ambition is to become one of the most sustainable restaurants in Djurgården. In a pedagogical and playful way, we work with environmental issues both in the kitchen and the dining room. We deliver everything from small conferences to large events, daily lunch service, and peak with full house during school holidays. With opening hours both day and evening, the restaurant caters to families with children, schools, students, the general public, evening visitors, and companies.

About the job

Naturally, our restaurant is also built on innovation and sustainability.

The basic idea is to use renewable resources, make use of the entire ingredients, and recycle waste. To succeed in this, knowledgeable and dedicated staff with a strong commitment to the task and a focus on working with innovative suppliers are required.

You will work in a well-knit team under our restaurant manager who has the overall responsibility for the dining room.

You will be our floor manager for the restaurant assistants, organizing their work, scheduling, ensuring an adequate staff presence at each shift. You will also help develop newly hired staff and ensure that our rules and routines are known and followed. As a head waiter, you will take pre-orders and manage the arrangements for both large and small events in connection with our event department.

About you

As a person, you are positive, resourceful, and stress-resistant with a distinct service attitude. You thrive on juggling many tasks simultaneously and are good at finding solutions. You always put our guests first, but it is your personality that will make the difference. We believe that it is the people who make a difference, and we are looking for strong characters with vibrant energy.

We want you to have:

• Several years of experience in similar roles, preferably from equivalent restaurants.
• Experience working independently and in a team, enjoying leading and delegating work.
• Experience in leading a large and young workgroup and introducing and training new employees.
• We prefer that you have a solid interest and knowledge of sustainability work as the restaurant is KRAV certified.
• Interest in economics.

You need to speak fluent Swedish and restaurant English to be able to meet our visitors and colleagues. Knowledge of other languages is considered a merit.

Extent of employment

The position is a permanent employment starting with a probationary period of six months. Working hours are according to a schedule involving daytime/evening work and weekends.

Commencement by agreement.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
