We are now hiring multiple terminal service agents for the 2025 season at our terminal in Visby

Job Description

As a terminal service agent, you will have varied tasks. A work shift may include several of the following:

• Ticket booking, phone support, email, and chat in our customer service
• Checking tickets and benefit cards in connection with the ship's departures
• Receiving the ships when they arrive in port, opening and closing the terminal, and assisting with escorts, internal mail, and baggage handling
• Cash service with ticket booking, sale of benefit cards, and other cash matters

A five-day training will take place during the spring.

Qualifications

Your Profile
In your work, you are a representative of the entire company and will daily meet hundreds of our travelers. We see that you are a service-oriented person, where being service-oriented means more than just good service, you take it a step further. You provide service to colleagues, our customers, and our partners. Booking and check-in are done in our booking system Bookit, and it is a requirement that you are computer literate. You should be fluent in Swedish in speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Speaking more languages is a plus. You must be 18 years old (by June 2025).

Working Hours and Duration
Our operations run around the clock, which means that your scheduled work shifts vary. The positions are time-limited part-time from June to August 2025. No extended leaves are granted during this period. After your seasonal employment, there may be opportunities for shorter substitute positions during the fall and winter.

Salary
Hourly wage according to the collective agreement with Unionen.

At Destination Gotland, we are responsible for one of Sweden's most important routes – the sea route between Gotland and the mainland. Our fast ships create opportunities for both passengers and freight traffic to travel efficiently between Gotland and the mainland, on the routes Visby – Nynäshamn or Visby – Oskarshamn.

We have been operating the Gotland traffic since 1998 and are proud of the trust. Formally, the assignment is from the Swedish Transport Administration, but in many ways, the assignment also comes from the Gotland community. We see it as our task to contribute to Gotland's development by always leading the way and creating opportunities for everyone who wants to travel to and from our island.
