About the Role

As a security guard, your main task is to deliver security to our customers. You do this, for example, in a surveillance center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater powers than a security officer and often work closely with our customers' personnel on objects that are crucial for Sweden's security.

The work is independent and is often perceived as free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, night or day. The length of shifts varies but is often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. As we are a business that operates every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

For example, you will:

• Handle cases within your area of responsibility
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the premises
• Man the stationary objects when needed

Requirements

• You need to be a trained security guard with a valid approval or be trained as a security officer at least VU2
• Have professional experience in the security industry
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B

Merits if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades in Swedish and English from high school and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (this application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be applicable. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective regulation, a background check is conducted.
