BUP Stockholm Section Neuropsychiatry consists of BUP En väg in and currently six neuropsychiatric clinics: The mission is to assess and treat children and young people with neuropsychiatric difficulties. Here, psychologists, medical secretaries, doctors, nurses, and unit managers work together. In addition to wanting to do the job as well as possible and increase accessibility to care for our target group, we work to build a well-functioning workplace where we thrive and have the opportunity to develop the organization together.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist physician, your main responsibilities will be to conduct neuropsychiatric assessments of children and adolescents in collaboration with a psychologist according to national guidelines and BUP Stockholm's process maps, as well as to initiate medical treatment for ADHD and monitor its effects in a team with a nurse. You will provide support to colleagues during treatment conferences and case assessments based on your professional expertise as a physician.

You, like all employees, are an important part of the team and have the opportunity to contribute to continuous development by participating in the ongoing development work of the organization. Currently, there are four other specialist physicians working in child and adolescent psychiatry at the clinic.

As a specialist physician within BUP Stockholm, you will also be included in the on-call roster after your introduction.

Qualifications

Applicants should be specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry with work experience in the field. You are accustomed to working according to new research and evidence-based methods.

BUP Neuropsychiatry is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 years within the Stockholm region. We are part of the Stockholm County Council, which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.

For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:
