Consultant Physician for Our Inpatient Care Unit for Children and Adolescents

Our inpatient care unit for children and adolescents is in need of a consultant physician.

If you are interested in working with knowledgeable colleagues in a team of various professional disciplines to help children and their families overcome a serious illness, this is the position for you!

The Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and accepts patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we have over 260 employees, we have expanded significantly during 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025. From March 2025, all three of our inpatient care units will be located at Danderyd Hospital while outpatient care remains at Södermalm in Stockholm.

The inpatient care for children and adolescents has room for 12 families – the patient is usually cared for together with a relative. The treatment period is typically 4-10 weeks. Family work plays a central role in the treatment, where parents are empowered in their parenting role and gain increased knowledge about the eating disorder. Here, you work closely in a team with nurses, nursing assistants, psychiatrists, dietitians, and social workers. The treatment is based on family-based therapy, which is the first choice in the National Guidelines.
