As an employee of the Social Insurance Unit, you contribute to the unit's work in developing and managing social insurance - an area in constant change that interacts and adapts to both national and international environmental factors. The work is fast-paced and highly focused on problem-solving.

The unit's main tasks include the development of legislative products, issues related to the governance of authorities such as the Swedish Pensions Agency and the Fund Market Committee, preparation of materials and analyses for the political leadership, budget work, and other ongoing tasks. The work is conducted in close dialogue with both the department's management and other units, departments, authorities, and organizations.

The main focus will be on issues related to the pension area in general, but mainly on issues related to income pension and basic security. The tasks will span various areas of social insurance, and it may be relevant to work on other issues within the unit's area of responsibility.

Your background

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in political science, law, or economics, or an equivalent degree that we assess as relevant for the position. You have several years of experience in handling or investigating tasks within the pension area. Furthermore, you have knowledge of Swedish public administration, knowledge of social insurance, its regulations, benefits, and administration, as well as very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous to have a comprehensive system understanding and experience in processing public pensions and the regulations of the pension system, as well as knowledge of social insurance from an international perspective. Additionally, experience working in the Government Offices and with the budget process and governance in the Government Offices is meritorious.

Your qualities

To thrive in the role of case officer at the Social Insurance Unit, you need to be able to independently plan, structure, and prioritize your work effectively and take responsibility for meeting both short deadlines and driving long-term processes forward. We are looking for individuals with good judgment and high integrity who are proactive and collaborative. You have the ability to establish and develop contacts. You are analytical and can compile and draw conclusions from extensive and complex materials. You need to be prepared for the unexpected, and you are expected to deliver and shift focus quickly, which places high demands on your flexibility. You also need to be able to produce high-quality written materials and deliver stringent oral presentations tailored to the audience. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

We offer a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period.

Location: Stockholm.

Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.

A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
