About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Manager for the Stockholm School of Economics – in this role you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for and develop the management of our properties.

This is a broad role where you will have an exciting chance to contribute to the daily operations, optimize energy systems, and ensure that our student housing operates efficiently and sustainably. This position is new to us and you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the role.

As a Technical Manager, you will be a central part of our team, where you will have an important function and great opportunities to influence and develop. You will be part of our property department and will report to our Facilities Director.

Your Main Responsibilities:

Inspections and Self-Checks: You will plan and follow up on inspections as well as develop and implement routines for self-checks. You will work closely with several stakeholders where documentation is an important part.
Energy Management: You will lead and participate in projects related to energy systems and sustainability initiatives. In this area, you will also plan and carry out investments, maintenance, and repairs of energy systems, including heating, ventilation, and cooling.
Student Housing: Manage finances, tenants, and the daily management of student housing. This involves some service to tenants as well as rental administration.

Your Profile

It is important that you have good collaboration skills, are unpretentious, flexible, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You have an interest in energy efficiency and pay special attention to sustainability issues. You can prioritize and identify what requires focus. You know what good customer care means and always strive to stay one step ahead. In this role, it is important that you are attentive and see the value in having a dialogue and collaboration with the operations in the issues you drive.

As a person, you are solution-oriented and have a keen eye for details without losing the big picture. You have a strong sense of responsibility and feel accountable for the end result, for the department, and for the organization as a whole.

Requirements:

Many years of experience in technical management, especially within energy systems and property technology
Experience in project management
You can plan and structure your work independently
Language skills: Swedish and English

Education:

Relevant academic education

Meritorious:

Experience working with sustainability issues

This is a permanent full-time position based in central Stockholm on Sveavägen. The employment begins with a six-month probation period. Start as soon as possible considering any notice period.
