RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Data Protection Officer, you play a key role in ensuring that the organization’s handling of personal data meets legal requirements, and you serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers. Through your work, you make a real difference by creating a secure and transparent handling of personal data throughout the organization.

As a Data Protection Officer, you will, among other things:

• ensure that Region Gävleborg complies with regulations and internal governing documents
• support the implementation of impact assessments
• manage personal data incidents
• report to the data controllers
• provide knowledge support regarding data protection issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, we are looking for someone who works well with others. You can listen, communicate, and solve challenges with others effectively. We also see that you enjoy planning and prioritizing work efficiently and setting and adhering to deadlines. You should also be able to consider the bigger picture, understand your role, but at the same time ensure both individuals' and the organization's best interests in actions and decisions. We also wish that you have a good understanding of how different people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages depending on who you are communicating with.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• a degree in law or legal science, or other education that the employer deems relevant to the field
• experience working with data protection issues
• good knowledge of data protection legislation.

Knowledge of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, information and cybersecurity law, as well as healthcare law is meritorious. Likewise, a degree from the law program, 270 credits.

The position is security classified and requires you to be a Swedish citizen. A security review and background check will be conducted before employment. We apply a probationary period.
