FUT Case Officer at Jönköping Municipality

Your new job
The FUT Case Officer works closely with the case officers who investigate the right to financial assistance, providing consultations, guidance, and information to the area's units. Together, they work strategically to detect and prevent inaccuracies. Your responsibilities include investigating whether incorrect payments have occurred, deciding on recovery claims, and, if necessary, reporting suspected benefit fraud to the police. You will also follow up on repayments of recovery claims and initiate compensation claims. The position entails, aside from internal collaboration with case officers within financial assistance, cooperation with several authorities such as the police, the Public Prosecution Authority, the Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Tax Agency, among others.
Your qualifications
You have a degree in social work or another equivalent academic higher education of at least 180 credits that the employer deems suitable. You have several years of professional experience in investigative work and social work. Previous experience in case management within financial assistance or social services with authority exercise is an advantage.
It is crucial that you have a strong ability to work independently. You must also be able to sort/prioritize what needs to be done both in the short and long term. To manage the tasks, you need structured thinking, a high regard for legal security, and familiarity with reasoning based on applicable legislation. We also want you to have good computer skills and a very good command of the Swedish language, both in speaking and writing, as well as the ability to comprehend written information. You should be interested in actively developing the operations.
To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone with high social competence and communication skills, where attentiveness, clarity, and engagement are characteristics that describe you. You have an inclusive approach with the ability to follow up on results and explain pedagogically to different target groups.
A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
