Within the social services in Sävsjö Municipality, an exciting and creative transition to a new social services act is underway. We are now looking for a family therapist and a counselor/family therapist for the outpatient care.

The outpatient care unit is one of the units that organizationally belongs to IFO. The unit is responsible for the municipality's outpatient care and consists of family therapists, field workers/youth therapists, adult therapists, and housing support.

With us in outpatient care, you will be able to contribute to securing the future of social services. We work based on the principle that citizens in Sävsjö Municipality should be able to live an independent life.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The work as a family therapist involves working with children and adolescents and their families based on their own applications, assistance decisions from social workers, and providing support to families through preventive work.

In the role of counselor, you will be an important part of the family center. You provide support in the parenting role through individual conversations and through parent groups. You also provide support in relationships and guidance on where parents should turn in various situations and support in contact with authorities.

Your task as a counselor is to provide support in the parenting role both through individual conversations and sometimes in groups. You will be part of various cross-professional collaborations, for example, through the family center but also other activities within social services and schools.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work, or another higher education deemed equivalent by the employer, or at least a two-year post-secondary education.

We prefer that you have experience in family therapy, good knowledge of interaction/attachment, and competence and experience in conversations with children. Knowledge of current legislation and guidelines governing the implementation and documentation of interventions within social services is essential. Training in and work with ABC, the Safety Circle, the Staircase, Signs of Safety, and IBIC is advantageous.

You have achieved personal maturity, possess a good ability to create relationships in your work, and can meet individuals in vulnerable situations and crises. You have a well-founded understanding of the importance of individual legal security in contacts with social services and realize what this means in practice.

You have a good ability to work both independently and in a team. You take great responsibility and initiative, have good collaboration skills, as well as commitment and openness to development work within the field.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.

A valid driver's license (B) is necessary.
