Do you also have experience in international collaborations in energy and climate-related issues – then you might be the one we are looking for! We warmly welcome your application today!

The Swedish Energy Agency's vision is sustainable energy for all. We are facing a new year with exciting and extensive assignments from the government. If you want to work strategically with international business and investment promotion, where the agency's work in India constitutes an important and strategic part, you are welcome to apply.

Your Responsibilities

In the first year, you will take on the role of program manager for India. In addition to India, you will also have the opportunity to work with other initiatives and activities.

As the program manager for India, you will lead a team of at least three people working with India. In the team, you will collaborate with departments, authorities, and organizations both in Sweden and India on a daily basis to drive LeadIt and our accelerator program ISIA forward.

Within LeadIt, we focus on the transition of the steel and cement industries using Swedish knowledge and technology within the framework of a bilateral initiative signed by Prime Ministers Modi and Kristersson at COP28.

In our accelerator program ISIA, we introduce Swedish start-ups and scale-ups to India through delegation trips and programs focusing on selected areas. So far, the Swedish Energy Agency has helped 70 Swedish companies establish themselves in India.

You will have budget and planning responsibilities, including responsibility for resource allocation within the team. Through your interest and understanding of politics and business, you act as a link between different stakeholders in Sweden and India. In the long run, your role may involve responsibility for other programs and thus collaboration with other countries.

The Role Includes:

  • Representing the agency at international meetings, negotiations, delegations, and conferences
  • Preparation of government reports and investigations is also part of the role

Qualifications

  • At least two years of work experience as a manager or project leader
  • Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written)
  • Very good computer skills (Office suite)

  • Experience from a government agency, organization, or company
  • Experience in energy or climate-related issues
  • Knowledge of other languages, such as Arabic, French, Hindi, German, or Ukrainian/Russian

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes responsibility for their work through clear structure and effective planning. You are flexible and can adapt your approach in an international environment where conditions are constantly changing. As a team player, you have a good ability to both lead and collaborate with your colleagues. You are clear and articulate in your communication, both in representation and in individual meetings. Furthermore, you have the ability to establish good relationships combined with a professional and secure demeanor in the role of a civil servant. We look forward to meeting you with drive, commitment, and interest in the position.
