Operations Controller at Fortifikationsverket

About us and the mission
As an operations controller, you will be part of the operations follow-up group located in the management department's staff. The group consists of 5 employees and acts as a cohesive force for the department's operational management and reporting, closely collaborating with Fortifikationsverket's regional operations.
Examples of tasks included in the role:
- Plan, analyze, and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ongoing improvement work and process development for higher quality
- Continuous contact with the management department's units and regions
- Quality assurance of budgets and forecasts as well as follow-up of project activities
- Participate in the development and management of systems
Qualifications and characteristics
For this position, we are looking for someone with an education in economics or another relevant field. You have several years of experience working as a controller or economist, including budgeting, operational planning, and operational follow-up. You have good knowledge and experience working with various systems and Excel, as well as an interest in system management and development. There are good opportunities to take on greater responsibility in this role, such as becoming a super user in our property management system. You also have excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good administrative skills. A valid driver's license (class B) is required.
It is advantageous if you have experience in the real estate or construction industry. It is also beneficial if you have experience in operational and governmental management, work with annual reports, and nationally distributed operations. If you have project management training or training in contract law, that is a plus. Familiarity with the government budget process and its various stages is also advantageous, as well as good knowledge of Agresso.

You are a team player with strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals from entirely different areas of expertise and operations.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment. The location is Eskilstuna or Stockholm, or as agreed. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at Fortifikationsverket is security classified. This means that a security screening and background check will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
