Hallandstrafiken is looking for a Community Developer

Hallandstrafiken is now seeking a community developer who wants to help create the future of Halland by further developing and adapting public transport to a growing and changing society.

Public transport is one of several tools for community development. By integrating public transport into housing planning and other parts of community development, its attractiveness and competitiveness can increase.

About the role

As a community developer at Hallandstrafiken, you will work strategically with public transport through dialogue and collaboration with the six municipalities of Halland, the Transport Administration, and neighboring regions. Your task is to ensure that community development and the role of public transport go hand in hand. You will be a key person in the effort to make public transport more accessible, attractive, and sustainable for the residents of Halland.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic collaborations with Halland's municipalities to create the future of public transport.
• Strengthen the role of public transport in community building processes by contributing analyses and insights that develop public transport.
• Develop long-term plans for the expansion and adaptation of public transport to new needs, and work with Hallandstrafiken's strategic documents.
• Manage community development projects with a focus on public transport.

About the workplace

Hallandstrafiken handles over 50,000 daily journeys by bus and train, and we always put the customer first. At the head office and in customer service stores, approximately 100 employees work with the planning, development, and service journeys of public transport in Halland, as well as bookings for medical transport and special transport.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in a relevant field (e.g., urban planning, community building, or transport planning). You have at least 7 years of experience working with community building issues. Experience in municipal or regional operations and in politically governed operations is an advantage.

In addition, you have a genuine interest in community development and sustainable solutions, particularly in public transport. You have the ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders in a clear and solution-oriented manner. Personal suitability is highly valued.
